About ThinSat

Developed by Twiggs Space Lab in 2017, the Thinsat program has challenged educational institutions to expand the knowledge of satellite engineering to undergraduates and K-12 educational systems. With this program, the development and experimentation of pico-class satellites has become a reality. With thorough research and experimentation, the Thinsat will be able to collect data on atmospheric conditions.Virginia Space hopes to utilize the Thinsat program to help decrease the cost of experimental satellites while educating institutions on data analysis and satellite development. This provides those with general knowledge on aerodynamic and thermal systems, as well as, astronautics.
